It feels almost obligatory to declare this my favorite, even as a devoted fan of *Voyager*. The consequences for not doing so seem severe—loss of recognition, expulsion from enthusiast circles, and exile from every comic shop in the nation... though, honestly, that doesn't sound too terrible anymore. Still, it’s hard not to appreciate Kirk, this space-faring farmhand. A charming rogue, a ladies’ man—some describe him as a space cowboy, others as a romantic adventurer. He was simply outstanding. Spock was equally impressive... and the series itself marked Star Trek's debut, laying the groundwork for an entire franchise, which, like all truly exceptional science fiction programs, was regrettably cut short. It later returned as a film series, creating one of cinema’s most enduring legacies. So yes, expressing my fondness for it feels almost unavoidable.
