Synopsis

A shadow of sadness had fallen upon Princess Xi Yang since learning that Jing Shi’s affections lay elsewhere. The Empress sought an audience with Jing Shi, seeking reassurance of his feelings for Yi Xiao, lest she fear the princess would dissolve the engagement. Ning Fei and Wei Ran implored Xue Ying to facilitate a meeting with Yi Xiao. Concerned for her well-being, Sui Ge kept Yi Xiao from seeing his Jinxiu companions, yet he managed to arrange a private encounter with Jing Shi.
