Synopsis

The Empress conspired with Murong Zhong to frame Sui Ge for the Emperor's demise. Though Murong Yao obeyed his father, a brotherly affection lingered within him for Sui Ge. Yi Xiao and Sui Ge’s followers fought desperately to save him, but the effort demanded a heavy price. Elsewhere, Xi Yang lamented her marriage to Jing Shi, declaring herself divorced from him. As tidings of the Emperor's and Sui Ge's deaths spread, Jing Yan grew eager to sever ties with Jing Shi.
