Synopsis

During the 1980s, a serial killer haunted the small towns lining the Mississippi River, targeting women. Then, as suddenly as it began, the killing stopped, leaving the crimes unsolved. Twenty-six years later, in 2006, a cold case detective and producer for the television program "Cold Case Files" unknowingly began to piece together the clues surrounding the murder of Deborah Sheppard, a student at Southern Illinois University whose death had remained an enigma since 1982.
