Synopsis

The investigation into the murder drew Holmes and Watson into the orbit of a particularly ruthless New York City gang. As they pursued the case, Holmes’s demeanor grew increasingly unpredictable, a consequence of clandestine meetings with an enigmatic woman whose identity remained veiled.
