Synopsis

A chance encounter between Watson and Captain Gregson, accompanied by his clandestine companion – a former officer with the NYPD – precipitates the unraveling of their relationship. Meanwhile, Holmes and Watson become embroiled in the investigation of a wealthy woman’s death, a case complicated by her peculiar bequest: her entire estate was to be left to her cherished dog.
