Synopsis

Indra offered a sincere apology to Mahadev, just as Rishi Dadhichi, through extraordinary power, intervened to shield the gods from Tarakasura's assault. Mahadev then counselled Bhagirath to seek the blessing of Ganga, believing her presence would purify the earth. He resolved to hold Ganga in his crown, honoring her desire and fulfilling her wish.
