Synopsis

An invitation to a debate reached Mahadev. He dispatched his devoted followers, the Shivgans, who deftly and wittily addressed every query posed. Afterward, Mahadev declared his intention to compose the Upanishads, a means by which learned men might access the sacred knowledge veiled within the Vedas.
