Synopsis

At the wedding feast, Lord Shiva consumed all the prepared offerings. Nandi, the sacred bull, intervened, gently urging Parvati to restrain him. With loving hands, Parvati offered food to her consort. Shiva then revealed that he had partaken of nothing but the single mouthful given to him by Parvati. As a reward for this devotion, Parvati was granted a Shivaling.
