Synopsis
Vidyunmali battled Him Naresh, intent on dismantling the sacred 'pind' he guarded. The arrival of Shiva sent Vidyunmali fleeing. Shiva then established all the Shakti Peethas. Sage Markandeya prophesied that Ganga, daughter of Him Naresh and Menavati, would one day unite with Mahadev.
