Synopsis

Shiva, taking the fierce aspect of Kalbhairav, vanquished the demons and bestowed a boon upon the sage Dadhichi. Together, they established a sacred Shakti Peetha in Kashi, a site consecrated by the fall of Sati's remains. Meanwhile, Tarakasura commanded the Earth to consume the remaining fragments, the 'pind' of Shakti.
