Synopsis

The sight of Mohini stirred a memory in Parvati of Vishnu’s deep care for her. Mohini’s gentle persuasion eased Parvati’s troubled heart. Yet, Mahishi harbored a vengeful oath against Parvati and the gods, and unleashed her fury upon the rishis and the unsuspecting populace, inflicting cruel torments. The Devas grew anxious, pondering how to overcome Mahishi, for she possessed the boon of immortality.
