Synopsis

Śiva revealed to Arunaśura his compassion for all living creatures. He rescued both the animals and Kamadhenu from the demon's grasp. Arunaśura then pleaded with Śiva to restore his mother to life. But Śiva insisted that Arunaśura must atone for his wicked deeds. At Śiva’s urging, Parvati granted forgiveness to Indra for his disruption of her meditation.
