Synopsis

Lord Shiva intervened, averting Daksha’s scheme to forge a new world and thereby safeguard Chandra. To shield the moon god, Shiva wore the crescent moon upon his own head. Vishnu declared that this day would be commemorated as Maha Shivaratri, a time when Shiva bestows blessings upon those who devote themselves to him.
