Synopsis

Narad, Chandrama, and Nandi implored Mahadev to grace Sati with his presence, but their pleas went unanswered. Prasuti compelled Bhrugu Maharishi to assume the duties of Sati's marriage. She urged Daksha to reconsider Sadbhish as a suitable husband for her daughter. Asur Chakri suggested to Tarakasur that he prevent the marriage by slaying Sati. Revati attempted to dissuade Sati, yet the bride swooned on the very day Sadbhish was to arrive.
