Covered in ash, cloaked in animal skin, and seated upon a rock within the cremation ground, Mahadev drinks the sacred brew, a blessing from Lord Shiva, while immersed in meditation amongst the Aghori ascetics. Narad Muni prompts Nandi to inquire of Mahadev about the bringing of Devi Sati to Kailash. Detached from worldly concerns, Mahadev offers a faint smile at Nandi’s question, his thoughts drifting to Sati, recalling her choice to abandon a life of material pursuits for the solitude of Kailas
