Synopsis

When Lord Shiva descended to earth, he played a raga whose melody breathed life back into the assembled singers. Sati, meanwhile, drawn by the sound as she gathered water for the sacred ritual, joined them in a dance. Seeing her before him, Shiva dissolved into nothingness. Narad Muni then declared that the divine music had been offered for the benefit of all creation.
