Synopsis

Kimble, a truck driver based in Portland, Oregon, finds himself drawn to Barbara Wells, the local radio dispatcher. He remains unaware that she is a parolee, assigned to a work-release program after a conviction for embezzlement. Devastated by a six-month extension of her parole, Barbara seeks refuge with Kimble in Seattle, pleading with him to help her escape to Canada.
