Synopsis

Wounded in a police shootout, Kimble finds sanctuary at an orphanage nestled near a Navajo reservation in Puma County, Arizona. Annie Johnson, the orphanage’s headmistress and herself a child of loss, extracts the bullet and offers Kimble a position as a teacher. But while Sheriff Prycer assumes Kimble has fled, a zealous deputy named Steel is convinced the fugitive remains nearby, and casts suspicion upon Annie for harboring him.
