Synopsis

Gary Keller, a student of considerable artistic promise, tests his new rifle with a random shot that instantly claims the life of his mentor, the town minister, who is driving on a road directly in the weapon's path. Kimble is in the car, having been given a ride by the minister after he picked up a hitchhiking fugitive. The vehicle crashes, and Kimble limps away to tend to his injuries.
