Weary of the chase, he sought refuge in Santa Barbara and, finally, confided his secret to Karen. But Gerard, guided by a single clue left at the L.A. County Jail—a match bearing the word "SAILS"—tracked Kimble to the coastal city. Discovering Gerard’s arrival, aided by Eric, Kimble and Karen escaped by sailb
