Synopsis

Driven by a shared ambition, wrestling mogul Vince McMahon and NBC Sports executive Dick Ebersol – father to Charlie Ebersol – joined forces to create the XFL. The story traces the league’s hurried creation, its pioneering methods for broadcasting football, and its sudden collapse. A final scene hints at McMahon's future intention to revive the XFL in 2020, as well as the Ebersols’ subsequent participation with the rival Alliance of American Football in 2019.
