Synopsis

This is the story of a devoted collector’s determined pursuit—a quest to acquire James Naismith's original rules of basketball at auction in 2010. These documents are arguably the most significant historical record in American sports, and the collector envisioned bringing them back to Lawrence, Kansas, where Naismith spent thirty-nine years teaching and coaching at the University of Kansas.
