Synopsis

The U.S. Figure Skating Championships on January 6, 1994, were marred by an unsettling incident: an unknown assailant attacked Nancy Kerrigan, a competitor in the event. The shocking act was later revealed to be orchestrated by a hired operative acting under the direction of Tonya Harding’s ex-husband; the scheme aimed to keep Kerrigan from participating in the 1994 Winter Olympics.
