Synopsis

This episode explores the lives of two African American politicians, figures from distinct generations and vastly different upbringings. John Lewis’s childhood was shaped by the realities of sharecropping in rural Georgia, while Cory Booker’s was spent in the privileged, predominantly white suburbs of New Jersey. Both men have dedicated their careers to the advancement of their community, yet both harbor a surprising lack of knowledge about their ancestral roots. Here, we witness Booker’s introd
