Synopsis

A collection of parents encroaches upon their children's lives, at home and in their careers. J.D.'s father, a sociable but isolated divorcee, strives with an almost painful eagerness to fit in. Elliot’s parents, however, are a disdainful pair whose affected airs consistently dismay their daughter. Turk is equally unsettled by the close connection between his girlfriend, Carla, and his boisterous mother. But of all the parents, the janitor's father proves by far the most irritating.
