Synopsis

After a hiatus of more than two months, peace talks have resumed in Panmunjom, a village on the border. In a rare public address, UN Commander Matt Ridgway suggested that despite rhetoric of retribution and deterrence, those pilots who violated the demilitarized zone and caused civilian casualties would likely face lenient consequences. Meanwhile, a Marine operation, codenamed Houseburner, is set to commence, aimed at eliminating enemy civilian dwellings in anticipation of the winter months.
