Synopsis

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Omar Bradley traveled to Korea to observe the unfolding war firsthand. Simultaneously, United Nations forces initiated fresh offensives: Operation Touchdown at Heartbreak Ridge and Operation Commando to the west. Both campaigns foreshadowed fierce engagements, raising the question of whether they might finally shatter the existing deadlock.
