Synopsis

General Matt Ridgway dispatched the 27th Infantry Regiment, the Wolfhounds, into the desolate expanse between the advancing UN and Chinese armies. Their mission: to locate and engage the enemy. The outcome of Ridgway's initial campaigns in Korea held considerable weight; the resolve of UN leadership – generals, politicians, and allies alike – hung precariously in the balance.
