Synopsis

The Chinese Spring Offensive persists this week, nearing its conclusion. The Communist forces have sustained tens of thousands of casualties, yet even as this offensive wanes, a UN counteroffensive commences, incurring similar losses. Meanwhile, in Washington, the MacArthur hearings continue, making it increasingly clear to all that General Douglas MacArthur had acted insubordinately and that President Truman was justified in his dismissal.
