Synopsis

In the spring of 2019, a wave of returnees reached Okuma Town in Fukushima Prefecture – residents who had evacuated following the radiation crisis. At the heart of this effort were six former town employees, averaging sixty-six years of age, affectionately dubbed the "Grandpa Troop." For six years, these men tirelessly worked to maintain the affected areas, driven by the hope of a future return for their community.
