Synopsis

Miki Yakata, once a member of a popular Japanese idol group composed entirely of women, received a breast cancer diagnosis at the age of twenty-six and subsequently underwent a mastectomy on her left breast. Beginning in May 2018, she documented her daily life through video diary entries, sharing her experiences with hair loss during chemotherapy and the anxieties of balancing work with medical treatment. Breast cancer is now a prevalent illness in Japan, affecting approximately one in eleven wo
