Synopsis

Nestled far from the mainland, the island of Nasake offers refuge to children displaced by hardship – poverty, neglect, or other difficult circumstances that separate them from their families. This spring, however, their haven was relocated to the mainland, compelling the children to leave their island home. They depart from the temporary dwelling that had sheltered them and from the elderly residents who had, in turn, become surrogate parents. Though sorrow and apprehension linger, the children
