Synopsis

In Aomori Prefecture, Japan, the Nebuta Festival, renowned for its vibrant illuminated floats, is a cherished tradition. However, the festival was absent for three years due to the pandemic. Kitamura Shunichi continues a family legacy, crafting nebuta floats in the same manner as his father and uncle before him. Yet, he has forged his own path; while traditional floats typically depict male figures, Shunichi’s now feature women alongside them. His wife, Toshie, provides a constant source of insp
