Synopsis

Based in Nagoya, central Japan, Washio Tomoyuki is an artist celebrated for his versatility, defying categorization with his diverse range of styles. He recently completed a large-scale mural for the entrance of a new hotel at the city's iconic TV tower. Begun in January 2021, this latest work is not a commissioned piece or intended for exhibition. A young director at NHK, in his second year with the network, seeks to understand the impetus behind Washio’s ongoing artistic endeavors.
