Synopsis

Judges Nadiya and Allegra presented the bakers with a technical challenge: a British classic, the battenberg, reimagined with rhubarb and custard. This variation demanded precision as the bakers had to create four identical sponges and assemble them into a flawless checkerboard pattern. Harvey, Joseph, Macy, and Sophie aimed for a spectacular presentation on a giant cookie. Their success hinged on their ability to depict themselves in icing and ensure the massive 30cm cookie was baked evenly.
