Synopsis

Helmut, a spry eighty-five-year-old and a veteran of the paratroopers, runs his restaurant with an uncompromising hand. He favors behind-the-scenes criticism, finding fault in the smallest misstep. The chef is chided for fiscal prudence, the waitress rebuked for perceived impertinence in her attire, and the flow of conversation among diners is frequently interrupted by his pronouncements.
