Synopsis

Barely minutes after ascent from Dubai in September 2010, UPS Flight 6 erupted in flames. Fire quickly consumed the main deck, prompting the pilots to fight for a return to the airport for an emergency landing. Yet, vital systems were failing, one pilot had succumbed to collapse, and smoke choked the cockpit. The other pilot struggled to read his instruments. To land, they had to devise an improvised emergency procedure, a task complicated by intermittent communication with air traffic control a
