Synopsis

In November of 2008, XL Airways Germany Flight 888T crashed into the Mediterranean Sea at high speed, resulting in the loss of all seven people aboard. The Airbus A320-232 was conducting a flight test, an acceptance flight, immediately following light maintenance and repainting performed in preparation for its transfer from XL Airways Germany, the leasing company, to Air New Zealand, the aircraft's owner.
