Synopsis

In September of 1989, NOAA 42, affectionately known as “Kermit,” undertook a research flight into Hurricane Hugo, located east of Barbados. As they approached the storm, the lower fuselage radar experienced a brief failure, leaving the crew with limited information about the hurricane’s structure and intensity. Follow the crew through their harrowing experience as they monitored the significant hurricane while navigating turbulence so severe it threatened the mission itself.
