Synopsis

High above the Mojave Desert, Virgin Galactic’s commercial spacecraft, SpaceShipTwo, climbed towards the edge of Earth's atmosphere, its trajectory overseen by experienced test pilots. Then, the vehicle fractured, plummeting from the heavens and claiming the life of the flight’s co-pilot. With the promise of space tourism hanging precariously in the balance, National Transportation Safety Board investigators were tasked with uncovering the precise cause of the catastrophic failure.
