Synopsis

Chef Anne Burrell and her new mentor, Alex Guarnaschelli, greet fourteen of America's most inept cooks with a mixture of apprehension and encouragement as they begin their culinary boot camp. To assess their abilities and form teams, the chefs challenge the recruits to prepare a beloved dish from their childhood. The main challenge demands they elevate their skills by creating Jamaican jerk chicken. Ultimately, the two cooks who falter most severely will be dismissed from the competition.
