Synopsis

Hoping for respite, Hercule Poirot and Captain Hastings are enjoying a holiday in Deauville when they are visited by Paul Renauld. He claims to have been defrauded by individuals from Chile. Soon after, Renauld disappears, and his body is discovered buried within a newly constructed golf bunker. The local French detective, Giraud, in a display of ill-advised presumption, challenges Poirot to apprehend the perpetrator before the killer can strike again.
