Synopsis

Hercule Poirot finds himself called to Marsdon by the proprietor of a local inn, tasked with solving a murder. However, the inn-keeper, an aspiring novelist, has crafted a tale of murder, much to Poirot's chagrin. The crime, it seems, exists only within the pages of his manuscript. Yet, soon a genuine, though seemingly spectral, death occurs at the grand house.
