Synopsis

Poirot announced to a startled Hastings his decision to retire, suggesting a holiday in the Lake District as a suitable way to begin his leisure. However, their journey took an unexpected turn when Hastings befriended a young woman who had lost a collection of valuable miniatures. The ensuing case involved a celebrated writer and a striking woman in a sports car, and to Hastings' relief, Poirot’s retirement plans swiftly faded into the background.
