Synopsis

Ariadne Oliver accepted the commission to design a murder mystery for a village fête in Devon, but a prickling sense of dread drew Hercule Poirot to the event. Her apprehension proved justified when, amidst the festivities, the young woman portraying the victim found herself tragically, irrevocably dead.
