It’s hard to imagine television getting any better than this; I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else if everything on TV were like it. I share the opinion of other critics who consider this drama series to be the best in terms of sheer enjoyment. It frequently receives criticism, seemingly due to political agendas from those who may not have given it a close enough look to notice that while a liberal government is portrayed, they are shown making errors and experiencing setbacks—it’s far from an idealized society. As someone who writes novels when I have free time, and believes my strength lies in crafting dialogue, I'm deeply impressed by the rapid-fire and clever exchanges within this show. You might even need to rewatch the whole thing just to pick up on everything that’s being communicated through their fast-paced conversations, frequently as they move around the West Wing set. That isn’t a negative aspect at all, though. A lot has been said about Aaron Sorkin leaving the series, and maybe there was a minor decline in quality afterward, but it remained exceptionally worthwhile to watch; the new writers couldn't diminish its appeal.
