_Tales of Wedding Rings_ (_Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari_) is an animated series falling into the Isekai genre. The story centers on Haruto Satou, a male protagonist who encounters Krystal Novaty “Hime” Nokanatika, a princess from another world and his childhood friend. Haruto was present when Hime and her "grandfather," a high-court mage, appeared in a forest through a bright light. Hime asked him to keep their arrival secret, which initiated a ten-year friendship. The adventure begins as the time arrives for Hime’s return around her sixteenth(?) birthday. At that same time, Haruto realizes he wants more than just friendship and intends to confess his feelings to Hime. His expectations are shattered when she informs him that their time together is over and she must return home to marry someone else. Refusing to let her go, Haruto follows her and her grandfather back through the column of light they originally arrived in. Hime is surprised to see Haruto appear during her wedding ceremony. Before anyone can react, she rushes to him, kisses him, and activates a set of wedding rings that she has always worn on her necklace. Through ritual and ceremony, Haruto becomes the land's hero. He’s shocked by this turn of events; he is now someone’s husband, the land’s hero, and seemingly the only one with a chance to defeat the impending Demonlord. However, Haruto’s power isn't complete, and he needs to collect four more rings to gain enough strength to vanquish the Demonlord—meaning he must marry four additional women from different races. The question arises: can Haruto find room in his heart when it already belongs to Hime? Will Hime, who seemingly knew she would be part of a harem, accept her role and make space for other partners? Is achieving full power dependent on Haruto connecting with the other women on an intimate level? Can all of this happen quickly enough to stop the Demonlord from taking over the world? These perplexing questions can only be answered by watching _Tales of Wedding Rings_! It's a decent anime, available with both subtitles and a dubbed version. There is some mild nudity and basic violence present, making it suitable for viewers aged 13 or older due to its suggestive scenes, situations, and dialogue. If I were to compare it, the series falls somewhere between _Sekirei_ and _Maken-ki_, but with stronger writing and a more developed plot. It didn't completely captivate me, but _Tales of Wedding Rings_ was certainly better than just average. I don’t regret having watched it. Consider that as you decide whether to view it.
