Synopsis

The day arrives when Jan and Hermien will pledge their lives to one another. Brenda and Annette assist Hermien in her preparations, while Jan finds himself without a best man to share the occasion. Edmund requests that Crystal be his companion for the wedding, as Nenna worries over Octavia’s intentions. Marco is burdened by guilt, unsure if he can bear to attend, and Tjoppie vows to mend fences with Sandy. Unseen, watchful eyes linger in the shadows, observing all who gather.
