Synopsis

Joe and Frank spoke at length about Marian and Jack. Henry informed Annie that Emmerdale Farm was in dire need of a telephone, and requested Peggy handle the company accounts. Later, Jack visited Frank to offer his support as best man. Laura seemed increasingly drawn to Jack, and the feeling appeared to be reciprocated. Visiting the farm, Jack was gently chided by Annie for his absence and questioned about the situation with Marian. Meanwhile, Peggy was unwell.
